It felt like the world collapsed,
My heart pounced out and cried.
I fed him glucose, spoonsfull.
He snored out every gram.
Not a drop did he gulp.
From his sweaty forehead
emerged shiny droplets
His swollen shiny legs grew heavier.
I was out of my wits,
Unknowing what to do,
I was all alone.
I picked him and threw him on the bed.
I hoped that the force would wake him.
None shook him.
The him slept, snored.
His pulse ran low,he was unconscious.
He was slipping out, dying I knew.
I called the doctors and the ambulance.
By my shoulder stood my aunt then,
Slowly he opened his eyes.
He was alive and I was too.
Thank You God;my Dad returned!
